Lakes launches new Lakes 8+ shower door collection.
Company News, Lakes, Sales | 22/07/2026UK-based Lakes Showering Spaces has launched Lakes 8+, a new collection of premium 8mm glass shower doors featuring soft-close sliding and self-close infold options.
Both models incorporate patented operating mechanisms to improve installation efficiency and long-term performance.
Lakes 8+ is the first product launch since the acquisition of Lakes by Hiatt.
The soft-close sliding option features stainless steel rollers engineered for smooth operation and enhanced durability.
Its fully reversible design provides installation flexibility, while the integrated soft-close mechanism is designed for controlled opening and closing.
The self-close infold door features an automatic self-closing mechanism that engages from 20°.
Its clever infold design opens half into the room and half into the showering area, maximising the available entry width while minimising door intrusion, making it suitable for smaller bathrooms.
Manufactured from toughened safety glass, Lakes 8+ doors can be installed on a shower tray or tiled wet room floor, with out-of-plumb adjustment for fitting in alcoves and corners.
They also feature fully concealed fixings, with Lakes’ AllClear protective coating on both sides of the glass, and supplied in plastic-free packaging to further enhance sustainability credentials.
Lakes 8+ doors are available in six contemporary finishes: Silver, Black (available on the Self-Close Infold option only), Brushed Brass, Brushed Nickel, Gun Metal and Brushed Bronze.
