Two New Colour Additions To Bolster The ‘All New’ Lakes Wave Collection

Lakes, the UK’s leading manufacturer of innovative showering spaces, has expanded its range going into 2026 – building on its record-breaking success from last year.

The award-winning company has announced two new colour additions to its prized Wave Collection, with Gunmetal and Brushed Nickel finishes now available across the range.

Launched in June 2022, the Wave Collection has become a cornerstone of the Lakes portfolio, recognised for its precision engineering, installer-friendly design and commercial versatility.

The introduction of these new finishes reflects Lakes’ continued commitment to being at the forefront of trends within the showering market, making contemporary design choices more accessible across a wider range of products.

The range expansion comes following Lakes’ hugely successful 2025, which saw it become the first bathroom manufacturer in the world to achieve B Corporation certification, recognising its verified commitment to sustainability, social responsibility, customer care and employee wellbeing.

The company also launched the extensive ROKU® Collection; seven brand new bathscreens and two ranges of high-quality shower trays and added even more design options to its Flagship Modular Walk-In range. Beyond product development the senior management team was strengthened with several key appointments to drive further growth.

Mike Gahir, Managing Director at Lakes Showering Spaces, said: “The Wave Collection is a great example of how we take emerging design trends and engineer them into products that are practical, reliable and commercially viable.

“Our approach to expanding our product portfolio has always been to listen closely to the market and act quickly, but adding new finishes is just one part of a much wider strategy.

“In the last few years Lakes have looked to disrupt the market with bold product additions, strengthened our service proposition, improved availability throughout our collections and achieved B Corp certification.

“All of this reflects a cultural shift within Lakes, one that firmly re-establishes Lakes within the Shower Enclosure Sector and allows our customers to stay ahead of changing demands.”

Mr Gahir said the addition of Gunmetal and Brushed Nickel to the Wave Collection aligns with broader bathroom and interior trends, allowing merchants, retailers and installers to offer a trusted product for more projects than ever.

Engineered with 8mm glass, the Wave Collection strikes an ideal balance between strength, durability and ease of installation. The range includes hinged, quadrant, slider and bi-fold doors, along with a side panel compatible with hinged, slider and bi-fold configurations.

Robust yet lightweight frames ensure long-lasting performance while remaining easy to handle on site, even in confined spaces. This installer-focused design reduces fitting time while delivering a product built to exceed UK standards for quality and reliability.

Like all Lakes enclosures, the Wave Collection features easy-to-clean AllClear® technology on both sides of the glass and is backed by a genuine no quibble lifetime guarantee.

The new Gunmetal and Brushed Nickel finishes are stocked now and available through Lakes’ national network of merchants and retailers.

Lakes Strengthens Specification Team with Two Promotions

Leading shower enclosure brand Lakes has promoted two of its Specification team as it boosts its growing presence in the market following a successful year.

Pete Ward and Richard Hammerton have both moved into new roles within Lakes’ dedicated Specification team as the company looks to capitalise on key opportunities, provide the best support to customers and hit ambitious growth targets.

Pete Ward is now Lakes’ Head of Specification and will undertake additional duties including leading the day-to-day running of the team and supporting customers and partners. Having joined Lakes in December 2024, his extensive knowledge of both the business and the sector makes him well-placed to help Lakes expand an already high-performing department.

Richard Hammerton, who joined Lakes in July 2025, has now moved into the role of National Key Account Manager. He will be responsible for maximising Lakes’ Buying Group agreements and providing additional support to the Specification team, alongside his current territory responsibilities across retail and specification channels.

Lakes Managing Director Mike Gahir said: “We are so pleased to recognise the excellent progress of Pete and Richard.

“Their new roles are a testament to their dedication, experience and hard work – especially as they are two of the newer members of the Lakes team.

“With a strengthened Specification team, we now look forward to continuing our investment in our people, products and partnerships, building a sustainable future that benefits all.”

Mike said: “As a newly certified B Corp business, we are constantly evolving and looking to strengthen our customer-focused approach.

“These promotions reflect the growing importance of our Specification team and allow us to provide a greater level of support to installers and partners, helping them to deliver better outcomes.”
